Writings on the wall

He hurt her. Time after time, she let him back in. He broke her into shattered pieces. But, still, she let him back in. She loved him unconditionally. Whenever he needed her, she was always there. He was blinded. She was blinded by the love she had for him. She was never really interested in anyone else. She brushed other guys off. In the back of her mind she had hope for them. But, deep down she knew there was no hope for them. She was stronger than he was, always had been. She has the strength to leave him alone. But, with her love for him being her weakness, he always found a way to crawl back into her life. Love is very powerful. It's one of the, if not the strongest, most powerful emotion a person can have. Love could be both good and bad. You can love someone with everything you got. Love can bring people together. But, love can also bring upon heartbreak. It can cause a person to kill. It can cause a person to become so heartless and unsympathetic. Each time she felt completely helpless, she always remembered that life does go on. She learned a lot from dealing with this one boy for such a long time. She keeps an open mind. She's aware of all the tricks and all the lies. No man would be able to cross her in the same ways because she is too experienced to be fooled. This is the boy who made her the person she is. He made her change in both good and bad ways. Everything she has done, she had done with with him first. He is the only guy she has ever loved. She is certain that she would always love him too. He holds a special place in her heart, but he no longer deserves a special place in her life. She fears that one day this will all be a story. She feels that it will become something of the past. She has had to endure so much just for it to not even be worth it in the long run. She fears that one day she may come to regret him, their experiences, and everything they have been through. She is fearful because through it all, he has come to mean so much to her. Which is one of the reasons she lets him back in. Enough is enough. Maybe if she says that enough she will probably convince herself that enough is enough. But, it is not that easy. Love tend to have that affect on people though, unfortunately.
