Pet peeve
I just read a letter that someone submitted to a government agency, and I was disgusted by the number of spelling and grammatical errors. Spelling is essential. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, however, obvious grammatical errors just should not be made. Prior to submitting an important document or essay, it is important for one to read over their work. Subject and verb agreement is essential. Proof reading is essential. Punctuation is essential. Some may think I'm exaggerating or taking it too far when I say this, but I will not be able to be with a man who is incapable of writing and/or speaking properly. It is just not going to happen. I will be a representation of him, just as he will be a representation of me, so that would not sit well with me. Communication is key so I need to feel comfortable knowing my significant other will be able to properly communicate with others on our behalf when I am not present.
