Standards.

There is nothing wrong with having standards. In fact, I think it is not only important, but rather necessary for people to have standards when it comes to things like relationships and careers. While having standards is important, people should not have excessive standards. I think people's standards begin to change along with age and experience.
I remember years ago I used to have standards which included, but were not limited to the following: college educated man with no children. As I became more experienced, some of my 'standards' were nolonger standards because they became preferences. As time went on, those standards were not standards nor were they preferences because I began to look at life from a different perspective. I decided that whatever plan God has for me, that is the path I want. I am college educated, and while it will be nice to be with someone who is as well, there are individuals out there who are as successful, and in some cases more successful than individuals with college degrees. On the other hand, I thought who am I to say that I will not pursue a man with children? Children are a blessing and a man having children should never be a deal breaker.
