Writings on the wall

I have become so hesitant with just about everything I do. I am careful who I let in, for I do not believe that everyone has my best interest in mind and I do not want to get hurt in the long run. I'm not really interested in anyone --friendship and relationship wise-- and I think this plays a role as to why. I've had people who have meant the world to me hurt and betray me so I proceed with caution by paying close attention to everyone I come across and all interactions I form.
